If you have ever chipped a tooth, it's something you want to fix right away. Our smile is one of the first things that people notice about us and not only does that ultimately affect our self-esteem, but if left untreated, can also cause pain in the oral cavity down the line. Fortunately, we have a quite relatively simple procedure called tooth bonding that can help you restore your broken and sometimes less sturdier teeth. Bonding is a great way to get a long term results with a quick procedure and is only just one of the ways that we can help you keep and or get that beautiful smile. Taking Care of Your Bonded Tooth/TeethA dental bonding procedure requires the same exact daily routine as you normally would. That is, keeping your teeth brushed and flossed, and using a non-alcoholic mouthwash occasionally to keep bacteria at bay, at least twice a day. Keeping your routine oral exams in our office, so we can check the status of your dental bonds as well as maintaining the health of your other teeth. It is important that we point out that dental bonding is not as resilient as your real tooth. Sometimes, due to chipping over the years, you may need to replace the bonding, but it's best if you avoid any extremely hard foods for the first 48 hours after your surgery. Do You Need Dental Bonding? We would need to analyze your tooth in person and ask you a few health related questions to make a medical determination if dental bonding is the right solution. Bonding is typically done to the front part of your mouth and not in high bite areas like your molars and the other teeth in the back of your mouth. Contact us today for a consultation. Our dental surgeons' expertise is unparalleled, and our staff is eager and enthusiastic for all of our patients and potential patients. We want to see your beautiful smile! |
