Traveling Tips to Keep Your Teeth Safe

Posted on 7/23/2020 by Janice K. Pliszczak, DDS
Traveling Tips to Keep Your Teeth SafeA lot of people do lots of traveling every year. Some travel for business while others do it for leisure. The most common trait between the two is that during the journey, most people place their dental hygiene and well-being in the back seat. When you are away from home, your daily routine is heavily compromised, and as such, you don't do some of the things you are used to, such as flossing and brushing your teeth as regularly. To overcome this issue, here are a few tips to keep your mouth as healthy as possible during your trip.

Packing Properly

When you pack correctly, you often have all you need for your journey to keep your mouth clean for your whole trip. It would help if you had a toiletry bag that's big enough to accommodate your toothbrush, paste, floss, and a bit of mouthwash. Furthermore, ensure that your bag has proper ventilation to keep your toothbrush fresh throughout your travels.

Portable Dental Hygiene Products

When traveling, space is limited. Therefore, you need to find products that can occupy as little space as possible without affecting their efficiency. One such gadget is a collapsible toothbrush and a roll of dental floss. Additionally, you can get the smallest of toothpaste to carry along with this duo. Not only will they keep your breath fresh throughout, but they also allow you space to carry more of what matters to you.

Try Some Treats For Your Teeth

Since most people eat out during their trips, it's essential not to neglect their teeth. The idea here is to enjoy something which is not only good for you but also your teeth. A good option is a sugar-free gum with Xylitol. It helps in saliva stimulation. You can also drink stuff that's good for your teeth such as green tea and eat yogurt without additives. If you tend to do a lot of traveling always remember your teeth and keep them clean. For more tips, call our office today!
